Dhimant Vyas

Dhimant Vyas is an acclaimed animation filmmaker, educator, and alumnus of NID. With a career spanning decades, he has worked with the multiple Oscar-winning Aardman Animations, contributing to global favourites like Shaun the Sheep, and Creature Comforts. His portfolio includes the title animation for the acclaimed films Taare Zameen Par and Sitaare Zameen Par by Aamir Khan. A versatile artist skilled in stop motion, 2D classical, cut-out, sand animation, and more, Dhimant has worked across films, advertising, EdTech, and gaming. He has served on juries at national and international festivals and bridges the gap between industry and education through his role at IIT Bombay. Recipient of the 2022 Ram Mohan Award for Excellence in Animation, he continues to inspire with his creative direction, technical mastery, and commitment to advancing Indian animation.
