Avik has invested 22 years in the automotive, and oil and gas industries across markets and cultures before deciding to go entrepreneurial. He has taken on various roles in marketing, advertising, institutional sales, business strategy, product planning, vendor development, network management, mergers & acquisitions, public relations, advocacy, and integration.

Since December 2014 he is the co-founder and partner at brand strategy and solutions consultancy Expereal. During the pandemic he launched emot.ai, an AI-enabled insights platform. Avik also advises an automotive forum, an automobile art institution, and a leading APAC digital conference. He is a part of two of India’s leading mentor platforms. He sits on the Advisory Board of XLRI Delhi-NCR campus. Additionally, he is part of a sustainable mobility think-tank called CAPR.

Avik is an alumnus of IMD Lausanne and XLRI Jamshedpur, having graduated in Economics from Hans Raj College, Delhi University. He is a regular contributor at ET Auto, BusinessWorld, MxM India, Autocar India and AutoFinTechs on subjects ranging from automotive policy and brand strategy to socioeconomics.
