Dr. Sanjeev Prashar

Professor Marketing and Chairperson New Opportunities Committee, IIM, Raipur

Presently a professor in the marketing domain, Dr. Sanjeev Prashar also serves as the Dean of Academics at Indian Institute of Management, Raipur. He has over thirty-two years of academic experience of teaching Postgraduate Management courses, corporate training, and consulting. He has over thirteen thousand hours of training experience with various prominent and government institutions.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, a Ph.D. in Management from University of Kurukshetra (India), and a Postdoctoral from Putra Business School, Malaysia. Dr. Prashar has published around 90 research papers in prominent international journals of repute including Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Tourism Economics, and Journal of Business Research.

A select few of the seventy case studies authored by him are available at Harvard Business Publishing (English and Chinese versions), Ivey Publishing (Richard Ivey School of Business), and Emerging Markets Case Studies Collection (Emerald Group Publishing). Dr. Prasher has been a Visiting Fellow at University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, (2016-17 and 2020). He is currently pursuing research on shopping behaviour including impulse buying, online buying, and celebrity endorsement.
