Gopal Singh Chouhan

Gopal Singh Chouhan is an ethnomusicologist, social entrepreneur and Director of Rajasthan Kabir Yatra, India’s longest travelling folk music festival. He is also the founder of Malang Folk Foundation. For over 17 years, he has documented Rajasthan’s Bhakti and Sufi traditions through field research, community engagement and cultural curation. His work spans documenting oral histories, folk narratives, music, instruments, crafts and performance practices. Through festivals, workshops and cultural exchanges, he has created meaningful platforms for rural artists while contributing to the preservation of Rajasthan’s living heritage.
