Crafting User-Centric Design: Network of Creative Thinkers Named India’s Best Design Studio 2023

Network of Creative Thinkers (NOCT) is a design agency in the cloud with a studio in the hills that crafts digital and tactile experiences, weaves intricate tales, and builds brands from the ground up. Applying a user-centric design process, it makes digital more human by designing apps, websites and products that bring delight to both people and the organizations behind them. NOCT is the brainchild of two creatively curious designers, Neha and Rudransh, who founded a design agency in the heart of Mumbai and then moved to the quaint hills of Panchgani. Today, NOCT has a network of creative thinkers on a quest so much bigger than the two dots that started it all.

Project 1 – Nestaspaces

Nestaspaces is an end-to-end boutique interior design portal that facilitates easy refurbishing and provides custom-made interiors tailored to individual aspirations. The platform features seven unique aesthetic styles to guide design and appeal to a broad audience. It leverages technology to identify user preferences through a concise style quiz and emphasizes human connections by showcasing testimonials and stories. Nesta Spaces employs an SEO-based strategy targeting users by location, space, and style to enhance visibility in Google searches. Its comprehensive UI visual styling includes illustrations, iconography, typography, and varied colour palettes, applied across web, print, and all media, with dynamic micro-interactions to enhance user experience. Designed for mobile usage, the platform also boasts clean codes and a custom CMS.

Project 2 – Mitibase

Mitibase offers an AI-powered web application that uncovers lucrative business opportunities within your network. Designed from the ground up by NOCT’s team, the platform boasts several key features:

  • Streamlined creation and management of sales pipelines with minimal effort.
  • A clean and intuitive UI designed to handle large volumes of complex data and text-heavy information.
  • Graphical visualisation of user networks spanning multiple industries and locations, enhancing ease of comprehension.
  • Personalised alerts tailored to each user’s pipeline activities, ensuring timely notifications.

Project 3 – BlueJeans ‘Out of Meeting’

BlueJeans is a versatile video conferencing platform that facilitates meetings, events, and large conferences. NOCT focused on enhancing the ‘Out of Meeting’ experience and the accounts portal, where users manage their schedules, preferences, recordings, and account details. Key improvements include a redesigned information architecture with a new navigation system for streamlined access and a ‘Homepage’ that displays upcoming schedules and account updates. The scheduling flow is optimised with a full-page pop-up interface, categorised settings for easy navigation, and integrated calendar features for efficient time slot suggestions. Additionally, a revamped Meeting Details page now provides specific meeting information and configurations such as polls and simultaneous interpretation settings. These updates were meticulously optimised across various screen sizes for seamless user experience.

Project 4 – Exoverify

Exoverify, a sub-brand of Exotel, consolidates various verification services like nOTP, SMS OTP, and Voice OTP to authenticate consumers and weed out bots and unverified users. NOCT was entrusted with developing a robust system and interface for Exoverify, aimed at enterprise customers to enhance authentication success rates and customer satisfaction scores. Exoverify’s key features include:

  • A modern UI design with a futuristic and tech-friendly aesthetic.
  • An intuitive dashboard equipped with analytics and verification widgets for comprehensive oversight.
  • Seamless integration capabilities with existing user systems.
  • A usage section providing analytics and insights across all verification applications by country.
  • A simplified report section for instant creation, download, and analysis of reports.

Project 5 – Conference

BlueJeans, a leading video conferencing platform, identified limitations in its event hosting feature, especially for large-scale events with multiple parallel sub-events. NOCT was tasked with swiftly enhancing this feature to better meet customer demands. Key enhancements include:

  • A fully customisable web platform offering attendees the flexibility to navigate between different sub-events seamlessly.
  • The platform doubles as an Event Website, enabling organisers to effectively market and attract audiences, all easily customisable to reflect the organizer’s brand.
  • A streamlined scheduling and management platform for large events. It features a simple three-step process for scheduling and an immersive customisation interface for event websites, ensuring minimal setup while maintaining strong brand identity.
